Vehicle Operation
The vehicles operate on a milk round basis visiting a specific area and visiting as many customers as possible.
Maximising Efficiency
The parts are stacked onto the vehicles in such a way that we maximise the amount collected.
Waste Collection Notes as Standard
Before leaving each bodyshop site, we will always issue a waste collection note.
Our process What happens to your waste?
Auto Plas process the plastic they collect and it is sold back into the plastics industry for re-use.
- 1
Arrival
Bumpers, wheel arch liners and hard plastic side skirts can all arrive in different conditions. Some may still have parts on, including brackets, number plates, nuts, bolts, etc.
- 2
Preparation
We have a team of operatives who remove all of these unwanted items prior to the granulation process, to ensure the plastic does not get contaminated, if left in position.
- 3
Recycling
Most car bumpers are made from polypropylene, which is one of the most commonly used thermoplastics in the world and can be used for anything.
- 4
Re-Usability
We granulate all of the usable plastic we collect into 10mm pieces, which is then sold back into the automotive plastic manufacturing industry.
